Are You Wishing Medical Science Would Advance To Dr. McCoy’s Ability Level?

I know I do!

I used to watch Star Trek regularly & was, & still am, fascinated by the idea of medical technology becoming that advanced.

Male doctor cartoon with a first aid kit waving & smiling silly like. Instead, I sometimes feel like the proverbial “guinea pig” in the practice of medicine.

What I mean to say is that, according to this table of iatrogenic death in the U.S.A. it may be safer to avoid the doctor’s & hospitals if at all possible. A quote from that report “These projected figures show that a total of 164 million people, approximately 56 percent of the population of the United States, have been treated unnecessarily by the medical industry—in other words, nearly 50,000 people per day.”

According to Wikipedia Iatrogenesis reads in part:  Causes of iatrogenesis include chance, medical errornegligencesocial control, unexamined instrument design, anxiety or annoyance related to medical procedures, and the adverse effects or interactions of medications. In the United States, an estimated 44,000 to 98,000 deaths per year may be attributed in some part to iatrogenesis.[1]

Don’t get me wrong…If I’m ever in a severe accident where I’m bleeding or suffering a broken bone, You can be certain to find me at the doctor’s office or hospital.

However, I have chosen to stick with natural therapies and remedies & avoid the medically prescribed drug therapies because we have not yet achieved the medical prowess of Star Trek!

What does any of this have to do with being a disabled online marketer, you might ask?

Well, I believe that were I to buy into “the doctor recommended treatments” I may be more of a burden on society & be more of a pain in your arse!  I realize I talk about many controversial topics…

My preference is controversy over complacency.

To the contrary, I am hoping that you are finding value in what I write and share.  Simply by purchasing the basic requirements of a domain, hosting, autoresponder, tools, software, anti-virus & whatever else may be necessary in order to be an online marketer is my way of contributing to society and commerce, not simply being lazy.

I’m not one to take this lying down!  Paying $1-5,000 per month for unproven medicines is NOT my idea of helping myself or society.
