What Makes A Happy New Year?

Choosing Happiness

I am fairly certain that you are probably saying one of the following:

  • Oh, but you have no idea what I’m going through or,
  • That’s right, it is a choice to be happy or,
  • Oh another one of those feel good, do gooders! gulp, erp, gag me.

A Matter Of Choice

Choosing happiness is often not the easiest, immediate or obvious thing to be, do or have.

Trust me, I could spend weeks and months writing facts about my life’s experiences and circumstances but, why? Everyone has a story. Mine is best left to myself for this purpose.

Choices make all the difference

Choices make all the difference

My intent and desire is to say Happy 2015 and to share synergistic solutions for whatever compromised conditions that our choices can create without competition.

The broad stroke solution I’ve chosen is to become ever Better instead of Bitter.

This is rarely the easy choice. However, to me it is the only choice that does not perpetuate the negative effects I see prevalent around me.

Learn from past choices to bring changes to the present and a more pleasant future for all. May we all enjoy peace and abundance in 2015 and beyond. Live beyond limitations and be another survivor.

To our health,

MS patients; Are You Living In Freedom? – Or Not So Much

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!

Americans Have Rights And Responsibilities

When you face a challenge like Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Arthritis or other compromised condition,  you may feel, as I often have, like your freedoms are being taken away on a regular basis.

As Americans we are suppose to be able to pursue a career of our own choosing, to be able to live wherever we please and go wherever we choose.

It seems I have a habit of stating the obvious but if you will bear with me I have a bigger intent in making these comments.

Where Have Our Freedoms gone?

Speaking from my experience is all I can do as I have no medical degree. Nor do I want one thank you very much. A doctor, unless they have multiple sclerosis also, can only make recommendations based on the Scientific Data.

It is a different animal to live with the Beast. Over the past 20 years I have been constantly faced with making adjustments and discovering new ways to adapt in order to maintain my freedoms.

Wishing I could say I have learned rather than I am learning but have come to the realization that the more I fight to keep things the same for more freedoms I lose.

Accepting the changes which I don’t have complete control over tends to save me a lot of grieving time.

Stubborn as a mule!

Stubborn as a mule!

The fact that I’m stubborn and independent has been both a blessing and a curse.

Everything is what you make of it.  If I gave up & got depressed about my circumstances I wouldn’t be any good for anyone.

Sure, circumstances may suck…but I’ve noticed that the more I try to “resist the changes” the tighter the cinch gets.  Giving in feels like a loss at first – but using the assistive devices has given me some of my freedom back.

I am in NO WAY saying to not do everything in your power to combat the ravages of your compromised condition.

It’s common to hide out with your pride and remain isolated because  it’s easier but, even if that’s your nature, the worl needs you to participate in LIFE.

If you are looking for a new path to freedom and life it may just be a matter of feeding your body what it needs to begin a miraculous recovery.  It’s our bodies that do the healing.
