Did you know?
That the label “No Trans Fats” simply means that the product contains less than .05 grams of trans fat? How many items of less than .05 grams are you consuming?
My Snack bar review: convenient – yes … healthy – questionable???
Consider these labels…
Nutri Grain Whole Grain Cereal Bars = approx 71 Ingredients ???(unsure of all the clarifiers) Of which – how many truly are FOOD? How many can you pronounce easily?

- I literally fall asleep about 20 minutes after eating one of those.
Comparatively –Lara Bars contain 2-10 or 12 ingredients (variety specific) ALL of which are FOOD items & pronounceable.
This refreshingly tart and tangy treat combines dates, cashews, almonds and real lemon.
- I like the Lara Bars but they’re just a snack!
And another big seller – Clif bars – Ingredients: = 30-ish…heavy on soy ingredients (high probability of being GMO) some “Natural or artificial ingredients.” Just what are those exactly??
Organic Brown Rice Syrup, ClifPro® (Soy Rice Crisps [Soy Protein Isolate, Rice Flour, Barley Malt Extract], Organic Roasted Soybeans, Organic Soy Flour), Organic Rolled Oats, Soy White Chocolate (Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Cocoa Butter, Soy Flour, Soy Lecithin, Natural Flavors), Organic Toasted Oats (Organic Oats, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice), Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, ClifCrunch® (Organic Oat Fiber, Inulin [Chicory Extract], Organic Milled Flaxseed, Organic Oat Bran, Psyllium), Macadamia Nuts, Organic Soy Butter, Organic Macadamia Nuts, Organic Date Paste, Natural Flavors, Sea Salt.
- I have discovered that my body can not tolerate much soy product.
My personal choice is Hemp Pulse Bars!
Wait, What? What are those??
Here’s the Hemp Pulse Bars ingredients found in Hemp Pulse Bars with descriptions of their nutritional benefits.
Cost comparisons are so variable & extensive… you’ll certainly have personal preference & health conditions to consider, as well as point of purchase factors & your global location I’ll leave that to you.
The fact that you could purchase Hemp Pulse Barsat three different price levels…ultimately four… Is also a factor to consider.
2/1/13..Revision…While the principles mentioned above are sound, I can no longer stand behind nor support the company and products spoken of here.
