Happy Easter From This Ol’ Egg!

bunny caricature peeking in from the side and a pile of Easter eggs Are you a bit hard boiled…stuck in your mindset, attitudes & opinions?

or, are you a bit scrambled?…unsure of what you’ll do or be next?

Maybe you’re fried?…Too much to do in too little time, or fed up with your job.

Nest full of golden eggsWouldn’t it be amazing if we could all be that proverbial “golden egg?”

It’s difficult to concentrate on anything when an ol’ egg such as one’s father has just been given a terminal diagnosis of inoperable lung cancer.

At 75 he’s mostly hard boiled, but ya love him anyway.  I’ve made him aware of the products I can get him that have helped many others overcome cancers…but he simply says “I’ll wait & see what the doctors say.”

You know what the doctors will say–chemo & radiation.  What kind of quality of life or misery will that give him?  Will it give him a couple extra days, weeks or months?  Or , will it simply offer the medical field another case study?

We often don’t give these things much thought until that dreadful announcement is served on our plate.

Dad really is a golden egg in his own right.  As Dad always liked to remind us “You can lead a horse to water but, you can’t make him drink it.”

Carpe Dium written in the sand at water's edgeSince I can’t play doctor & prescribe anything I’ll just say Dad…

It’s the epitome of all our thoughts, desires & actions…here now & gone sooner than you imagine or plan.

Happy Easter!

Nope, this post came strictly from my heart about Easter, & my Dad. It’s not my typical topic
& quite short. Thanks for visiting & commenting.
